Added a contact on Android...then it's gone the next morning, way to recover it?

Hello!

As mentionned in the title, I added a new contact on my Nexus4 LG phone, and recorded it under a name.
I even saw it was sync on whatsapp, but I didnt call nor message the contact.

Looking at my phone today, I just saw that Ive lost the contact, impossible to retrieve it in call history as I havent called it.
I would like to get the number back but I can't think of any way to do it.... Do you guys know of any hack that would allow me to see the last diggit dialed on call history ? (without having pressed "call")

Welcome to Android Central! Did you add the contact in the Contacts app, or somewhere else? If it was in the Contacts app, did you associate it with your Google account, or some other account?
