2 microD cards in 2 different Android phones damaged on the same day

[AC Question]

Yesterday, I was surprised to see that 2 microSD cards in two different phones (Note3 and S4) are damaged. They have same OS Android 5.0, Kernal version 3.4.0. Did anyone else had this problem in past 2-3 days? I don't think this is accidental. Any pointers are appreciated.

Are you sure the cards are not fake? Many eBay sellers list counterfeit cards.
