I have a Galaxy S3 and recently upgraded the OS (4.4 - KitKat I think) Since then I am getting "Unfortunately, Google Account Manager has stopped". What I have done..

    * Deleted Google Account from the phone (Now I cannot readd)
    * Cleared cache and data from ALL Google applications
    * Cleared Cache from recovery mode (vol up, nav and power buttons)
    * Wasted a lot of time

I am trying to avoid factory reseting the device if possible

    Welcome to Android Central!

I hate to say this but a factory reset might be the only options to root out the bugs.
