Why is the screen not working for my Samsung Galaxy S3?

[AC Question]

Brand new phone from insurance company. Worked fine at first, but has slowly been losing the ability to recognize my finger. Like the phone is on, and working, i can receive messages and etc, but it doesn't feel my finger. I tried restarting the phone and it worked but then it stopped working again. restarted again and doesn't work at all. phone is working, doesn't recognize my hand. help!

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the digitizer is faulty. Do you mean that you got this phone as a replacement for a previous phone that was damaged or lost?
