If I connect the Gear S to my phone via Bluetooth (not call forwarding), can I still leave my phone at home and receive calls on the Gear S, or is there a distance range to Bluetooth connections similar to WiFi ranges?
    Thanks!

Bluetooth has a range of 10-32 feet. You wouldn't be able to leave the phone at home.

Unfortunately not. You will have to keep the phone some what close to you.

You can receive calls if you insert a sim card in it and you can just leave your phone at home
