Will Disable in Samsung Link Platform cause problems in other apps on my Galaxy s5?

My phone is Galaxy s5 I continue to get request to update Samsung Link Platform, but I don't use it so want to turn off; 'Disable built-in apps may cause errors in other apps' message occurs when I try to turn off in app manager. Will disable cause problems within my phone? Is there alternative turn off for this app? Any help greatly appreciated!
