Anybody else with Helium Backup App issues (Android 6.0)

A

AC Question

I am using the Helium app on a Nexus 7 (2013) running Android 6.0. Before updating to Android 6.0, the app worked fine. Since then the app does not work at all. I connect my tablet to the PC (Windows 10), I start the Helium desktop program and wait until the "Helium has been enabled on your Android" message. The Helium app in my tablet says "Waiting for the Helium Desktop application to enable application backup on your android" message. The desktop version tells me it is working, but the tablet says it is not. There is no way into the app until the PC and tablet are linked. It does run the scheduled backup, but I can not get into the app to make changes. I recently got a new tablet, and I need to use Helium to get my app data onto the new one. Anybody else with this issue?
