Why can't i get a Samsung Tab 4 SM-T230NU to recognize my wireless mouse?

I purchased a Samsung Tab 4 SM-T230NU and it does not recognize anything plugged in the charge/data port except my laptop. I checked all my settings but it only allows me to set the speed of a mouse, not recognize the mouse or a SD card.

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you're trying to use a wireless mouse that's designed for PCs, right? If it's a USB wireless transmitter, you'd need an OTG adapter--you can't just plug it into the microUSB port. It might be easier to use a Bluetooth mouse (which is different).
