Why is my phone getting hot and battery drains fast?

I have purchased this phone infocus m2 3g and it's been almost 5 months it was functioning greatly until recently, an inbuilt app 'battery protect' started to prompt me to shutdown calls saying phone temperature too high & it automatically goes to airplane mode and battery is draining fast. I am not able to do anything on my phone. The only option I have is to restart my phone use it again normally. I don't play any games and not use any big apps or even use Internet much, so I want to know what could be causing this even factory reset is not helping.. What should I do

Have you contacted the manufacturer's support site? A warranty repair or replacement may be indicated.

My sisters phone did something similar and it was a swollen battery she hadnt had it for ages either it might be worth going to your phone store and getting it properly checked out
