It came with what I believe was a customized version of kitkat from at&t. I made the mistake of letting it update today and a lot of the features that I liked are gone and the tablet has slowed to a crawl, often locking up for 15-30 seconds at a time. I did a factory restore and it comes up with version 5.1.1. How do I get back to the way at&t shipped the tablet?

You would probably need to root it to roll back the os. Is this something that you are willing to do?

I've been trying to find out exactly what that means but the "rooting your Android" page under Help and How To gives me an access denied error.

According to the documentation I've been able to find, it originally came with 4.4.4. (I'm OP, BTW)

This is my first experience with android and I've only had this device for a few days.

If it has only been a few days, then I would exchange it
