Galaxy S5 won't charge with usb cord anymore

A

AC Question

Recently, I've been having problems w/ charging my Galaxy S5. I used the original charger port + cord from the manufacture when I first got the phone to charge it and now it doesn't work anymore. The charge connection seems loose because it will charge and then lose its charge. A lot of other micro usb cords that I have lying around that I have used numerous times to charge the phone doesn't work anymore either.

So I asked a friend of mine w/ the same phone for his manufactured charger + cord and it ended up working...and I'm just very confused why the other micro usb cords I have don't seem to charge this phone anymore.

Anyways, what do you guys think the main problem is? I'm not an expert on phones or anything so thanks in advanced.

Just sounds like your usb port is becoming wore out and cheaper non oe cables are not staying in place firmly enough. I would keep an eye on it as this is usually the first thing to act up on an older device that's even well taken care of
