Why won't my phone charge through my computer

So my LG Spirit won't charge through computer for some awkward reason, although it will charge through PS4 usb

Check to see how your device is connecting to your PC. There should be a charge option other then MTP.

It's not on MTP, i checked that before coming here actually.
E:I'm installing the LG Software on my PC, second update coming to tell if it's working or not

So, for some reason, the charging function didn't work, but MTP is working now, and my phone is now charging through USB
