I received an official update on my galaxy note 4 on the 7th dec 2015 which i accepted. Everything went fine except that i lost ALL my camera photos from my default storage location on my SD card. I only noticed it this week when i took some more pictures at my sons birthday.
Instead of my 500+ photos i have only the few taken since the update.
All other folders on the sd card are fine including pictures video etc. Only the DCIM folder has been overwritten. No warning. No backups. Nothing! !!

Updated to version 5.1.1 via an official update and found out this week that the DCIM directory on my SD was overwritten during the update. I lost over 500 pictures.
Event else went fine and all my other folders are fine but since i rename my camera folder every few months my last few months of pictures appear to have been lost irretrievably.
