gMail contacts sync

[AC Question]

How can I disable my contacts from gmail syncing? I want my gmail email to be on auto sync, but eveytime I turn it on I get email contacts in my contacts app, which I dont want. If I go and disable contacts sync they still show up. I've even deleted my google account from the accounts section but then it deletes it from my gmail app. How do I stop this?!

Go to contact settings and under "contacts to display" , uncheck Google and all.
