Using chkdsk to fix corrupted sd, same file or different under same name?

A

AC Question

The last two days I've been fixing a corrupted micro sd card for my NOTE 3 chkdsk is on file 420 lol no joke, but it's saying the same location over and over with the exception of <418>,<419>,<420> at the end of each line.

Ex. android\data\com.google.android.apps.maps\ <420>.

Is it just going thru each file in a folder or is it repeating itself?

Thanks in advance for the help guys.

That might be a file name, but more an ID for the block on the storage media. That is a path to Google Maps' internal storage directory... and I am guessing that's where the corruption occurred.

FYI, in my expirience, once an SD card starts to report corrupt or bad blocks, it'll be a downward spiral. I'd copy off as much data off that card as possible and replace it as soon you can.
