I recently asked a question on how to get rid of games ad's on my app lock screen and dpham00 answered if you root then you can install an ad blocker. But I don't understand what they meant by root then?

If dpham00 could explain, I would greatly appreciate it.

I tried to download the all in one tool box and the ad dector but I don't know what I have to do from there. Do I have to uninstall the app's with ad's on them??

    I am confused.

    thanks

    dpham00 will be along shortly.

This may help in the meantime:

That is a good description of root . There are ad blockers that you can install with root that will block ads.

If you don't want to root then you would need to uninstall the app that is causing the ad.
