My S4 (about 2 1/4 years old running Lollipop) stays happily charged until I turn WIFI and then the battery starts dropping like a rock! I have all syncing (including mail) turned off and have removed suspect apps like Facebook. When I check the battery on the "more" page, Android OS and Play Services are sitting at 5%/6%. I've ordered a new battery just in case this one is circling the drain, but am otherwise dumbfounded. Any suggestions or help would really be appreciated. In the time it's taken me to write this note, I've lost an hour of charged time.
Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier do you have? Does the phone have wi-fi calling capability?
