Double notifications from Inbox and Hangouts

I just decided to switch over to Inbox by Gmail and I'm loving it. However, I now get two notifications anytime someone sends me a message (I'm using Hangouts as my default SMS client). I know that I can just sign out of hangouts on Inbox, but I really enjoy the functionality of having the option to text while sitting at my desk. Is there anyway to stop Hangouts sending a message through inbox while I'm away from my computer, or do I just need to sign-out of hangouts anytime I'm done with it in Inbox?

No, unfortunately this is one downside of hangouts. You can "snooze notifications" so they wont show up on your mobile but they also wont show up on inbox either. But if you're sitting and checking the messages somewhat frequently this might be good enough.
