Samsung Galaxy S3 - Using the Front Facing Camera Restarts the Phone

[AC Question]

I got a Samsung Galaxy S3 from a friend after she upgraded to an S6. It was basically a blank slate when I got it, and a fine phone. The camera works, except when I try to use the front facing camera it restarts the phone. Any app that uses the front facing camera restarts the phone. I've gone into the camera app, and cleared the cache each time, and every time I attempt to use the front facing camera it restarts the phone.
I've even gone so far as to do a factory reset on the phone, and the same thing is happening. Any help, or suggestions would be appreciated.
