Nexus 4 won't turn on.

Hello!
I own a Nexus 4 and today I plugged it to the charger and a flashing red light showed up. I solved that already, now it shows the battery icon but when I turn it on shows the Google logo and immediately shuts off and shows again the battery charging icon.
I've been in Nexus help site and followed their steps but the problem remains.
Can anyone help? (Merry Christmas by the way)

Does it hold a charge? I did that to but had mine for 2 years went out. I overcharged mine on a charging pad was extremely hot I waited press both vol up down buttons it came back on. Keep trying and maybe have USB cord in and jump start it sort of speak

Can you boot into recovery and it stay on for more than several seconds?
