    Hi folks,

I have recently bought my 84 year old Dad a Nexus 7. Over time we've been looking at useful apps and adding them to his home page. The thing is, he can't remember what each app is for so I'd like an app that adds a layer of help text. For example - when he presses the Google Maps app, I'd like a message to pop up that says " Use this to check traffic between a and b" He then presses that to open the app, or presses another app if its not the right one.

Does anybody know if such a thing exists!? I'e tried loads of searches but working out the best search term is tricky.

    Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forums! I've never heard of such an app and I think your best option could be using a custom launcher. You can find some launchers oriented to seniors in the Play Store. Wiser, Necta or Big have good reviews.

Building off Javier you could use nova launcher hold down on the app on the home screen to rename them
