Note 4 LCD Replacement- Touchscreen Not Working?

Hi, I dropped my Note 4 last week and the LCD cracked so I ordered a replacement. I've followed some video tutorials and removed the old one. I connected both flex cables to make sure the screen lit up, and it did, but it's not responsive to any touches for some reason. I have to wait til I get some adhesive tape before I finish anyway, but I'm nervous to put it together if the touchscreen is not going to work. Is it just a faulty replacement screen, or did I do something wrong?
