How do we text noiselessly but hear phone calls & texts coming in?

Do you mean the clicking sounds when you type? If so you need to switch it off in your keyboard settings. The right instructions will depend on what phone you have and which keyboard you are using. Try to find this option in settings - language & input - select your keyboard - preferences - sound on key press.
