I have a Samsung s4, I want to delete some contacts but I can't go into my gmail account on my pc as it is not working. Is there a way to delete contacts on my phone or my android tablet? They are Google contacts associated with my gmail account. Thank you for your help with this,
    Sincerely, niki2651

Go into your Contacts app, open the contact you wish to delete. Tap the menu (3 dots in the top right or the key by the home button) and select "Delete".

Actually, the Contacts app on my Samsung tablet running 5.1.1 (closest I can get to the device you're using as my phone is a Nexus running Marshmallow) is even easier, with the contact selected there's a trash can in the colored bar at the top of the app.
