why wont my avant let me swipe

I dropped my Avant in some water over 3 months ago and dried it out for a few days and its been working perfectly except for my phone speaker is not working. Now about 10 minutes after using my phone now the touch screen doesn't work at all. The home button, vol up and down, and the lock button all work just not the touch screen. Any ideas on how to fix it? Not good with working on cell phones.

Welcome to Android Central! Water damage can be unpredictable and insidious. You'd have to get your screen replaced, but that wouldn't guarantee that the problems would be completely solved, since other components might also be suffering from water damage.
