My friend decided to try and one touch root his device which I never trusted. Somewhere in between the process his app became frozen, after trying to restart his phone it will not boot and only opens a recovery tool but when I try and do anything with it it says that no OS can be found. It also says that he cannot mount. Its the first droid x and I've tried to restore the original at least for him but its not working. Is there any way to recover what was missing or to just place another OS onto it? or is there a way to gather what is just floating around and try and piece it back together. Ive had this phone almost two weeks now and I cannot make any headway for him. *note- I can still access hard reset and recovery mode, it will reset and wipe but there is nothing to recover.
