What's going on? Is it normal battery life on note 3

Took phone from charge 7 in the morning now is 11.33 and 46% battery left. Yes been almost all the time on WhatsApp, screen is minimum. Is this normal feels bit too little battery for so called good battery life phone would put some pictures here but don't know how. Screen shows 8% and all running apps 4 to 6% battery eating
