How to switch applications on ZTE Blade Wave 3?

I'm using ZTE Blade Wave 3, I don't know how to switch between two or more applications that I have been using before, I tried to touch and hold the home key but it just appear some applications that I used recently, please help me. Thanks so much!

Welcome to Android Central! That sounds like the Recent Apps list, which is how you switch between apps. Bring up the Recent Apps list, then tap the app you want to go to, and it will open again. Depending on how much RAM your device has and what other apps you've been using, it might have still been cached in RAM and therefore will open immediately, or it might have to open de novo, which can take a tiny bit longer.

I assume you get the onscreen nav buttons at the bottom of the screen as well, right? The Recent Apps list button should be the square one or the one that looks like two overlapping rectangles.
