LG G3 Charging Issue

[AC Question]

So I put my phone in to charge at 3am with 13% power on sleep mode than I left it into charge until 1pm and it was OFF and charging at 2%... I continued to let it charge until 4pm when it hit 10% turned it on to shut of any possible background programs and shut it back off and left it to charge. (by this time the battery was down to 6%) When I checked in the last 2 hours it had only gained 2% more power. I am using the original charger and wall converter...other than getting a new phone is there anything I can do?

The USB lead may be faulty, or the USB port connector dirty or damaged, among other possibilities. Check those first.
