3 days ago, no new damage, drops, or any other "oops" moments with the phone, the phone started refusing to charge. I plug it in at night and get a weird beep noise I've never heard before and it gives me an error saying I'm not using a samsung compatible battery or charger? (using the stock samsung USB 3.0 wall charger).

The only fix I've managed to do was remove it from it's case (otter box) and pull the battery. I wait a minute then put it all back together and boot it up and suddenly is charges just fine without complaint.

I have tried "safe mode" to no avail. EVERY night now I have to disassemble my phone and re-assemble it just to charge it?
It charges fast and holds charge great. I also tried different chargers, the battery pull is the only way to "fix it" so far. I thought maybe it was a battery issue but the battery works fine (when it lets me charge). The charging port is clean and undamaged, and I've tried using other chargers as well.
