I have a htc one m7 and during calls, neither caller or receiver can hear sound

I updated my phone like a week ago and I haven't taken any calls through my phone until recently and I've noticed that I can't hear anything over the phone and neither can the other person, so I checked online and I've seen that people have said a lot about updates although this was from threads from a year or two ago, but I can't really think of what else, other than the update, it could be. What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Does it work on speakerphone, or with wired/Bluetooth headsets?
