I have recently received the Boost lg g stylo as a gift. Through Boost it has an internal capacity of 8gb (only 4 of which are accessible) yet I understand that with other carriers the Stylo comes with 16 gig capacity.
My question is, is internal storage expandable and how?

No, the only way to get more storage is to get a different phone or add an SD card if the device supports it.

Just like hallux said, it’s not expandable. However, I did see that the Boost lg g stylo supports a micro SD card. If possible, pop the back cover off and see if there is a SD card slot. If so, that’s where you can insert expandable memory up to 128 GB.

On a side note, how are you liking the device?

It supports microSD up to 32 GB (that means the microSD and microSDHC standards, not microSDXC, which technically goes up to 2TB)

check gsmarena(.)com/lg_g_stylo_%28cdma%29-7245(.)php for more details (edit the link, I can't post links yet).

expandable memory up to 128 GB.
Where did you get that from? 128GB? It doesnt support SDXC, only SDHC which is capped at 32GB.
Dont mean to be rude, but don't give false advice, OP might buy an SD card which his phone won't recognize.

Well, I was proved wrong. Why do some sites, like the official LG site, claim it only supports up to 32 GB?

I don't know, you'd have to ask LG. You did the correct thing checking out the manufacturer's site to see about SD card support. It is strange they don't offer accurate information on what has to be a plus point.
