Samsung Galaxy s6 edge+ (NEW) Losing batter at an alarming rate

[AC Question]

Hi, my BRAND new Samsung loses about 1% every 4-10 mins. I'm coming from an iPhone and want to know ways to get roughly one days worth charge. The battery app says I have 5 hours left of charge so from when I start using it that's about till mid-day. It still loses usage when the screen is off and it's just in my pocket. I use it for games and would be fine with turning off background apps for some apps but not all.

If it is losing a lot of batteries on idle then I would suggest trying wakelock Detector

Look in the battery stats (Settings/General/Battery) and see what's using all the battery. Then tap the graph to get to the second page and look at the bottom at the Mobile network signal line. If that's all red, yellow and brown, you have a weak mobile signal and that eats a lot of battery. (It means you're on the wrong carrier for the area you're in - their coverage is poor there.)
