I'm guessing that wifi calling is not available on an unlocked simply free galaxy s6 edge+
There's no option to turn on so it must be only carrier locked handsets able to take advantage of this. My Carrier is EE in the UK which does support this....
Any solutions out there or am I screwed as the signal at home is not brilliant on this phone

I believe it has to be part of the firmware, so if your device wasn't specifically from a carrier that uses wi-fi calling (and would therefore include wi-fi calling in its carrier-specific firmware), then you can't add it.

Does your carrier offer microcells or signal boosters for the home?

Yes they do but never found them much good. Had nothing but issues with it. Thanks though
