My Galaxy S6 (non edge) was on 1% battery as I'd forgotten to plug in the charger. I turned it off and then plugged it in. I turned it on about 5 minutes later and percentage is showing at 53% it now appears on be sitting 50% above actual percentage on battery. It dies at around 50 and starts increasing from that point when recharging.
    Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums. It might be an error in the battery reports. Have you rebooted lately?

Thanks for the welcome, I let it run down to dead (50% give or take), and it started charging again at 50. Forced the latest update to the OS and when it booted again it was sat at 100 and ran right down to 10 before I charged it up. Seems it was just having a paddy.
On a potentially unrelated note I had horrendous battery life the next day, with play services taking 27%.
All seems well now, maybe the battery just fell out of calibration and sorted itself out again.
