    Hello –
I am using an Android LG-Sunset phone with tracfone service.
Overall, it is working fine except for one thing: When I receive texts, they almost always come in as ‘MMS’ texts (regardless of the message’s length) . Because the messages are using MMS, I need to turn on my data connection in order to read them even if I am connected to WiFi. Is there any way to get around this so that I can read these MMS messages without turning on a data connection?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Unfortunately not. I deal with the same thing. Now I just go ahead, turn on Tracfone's data connection, see what that text message is sending me, then when I'm done with it, just switch it back to WiFi. Doing that shouldn't take up too much of your data time. This is one of the few issues I have with Tracfone. Other than that, I've been with them for over 6 years.
