I'm very interested in the Nexus 6P but keep hearing about the glass across the camera lens spontaneously breaking and more recently about the microphone producing a muffled sound. What has your experience been? Has Google/Huawei addressed these issues?

    Welcome.

I recommend registering here so that you can post in the 6P forum. You'll be welcome and will be among other users of that device.

I've had mine since early November, almost 3 months now. I've had the Adopted case (the one you can buy from Google) on it since I unboxed it, no screen protector on the front. I've had no issues with bending, rear glass breakage or anything like that, though I do handle it gently.

There is ONE bug in the software - seems to have been since the 6.0.1 update so hopefully 6.0.2 will fix it - sometimes the data connection fails to hand off when switching between 4G and WiFi. Some people say it seems to depend on what carrier you're with, I'm on Verizon and it happens to me. Honestly, this shouldn't be a show-stopper on a purchase, you just need a flip to airplane mode and back to fix it (or turn off WiFi and data then turn them back on).

I thought my 2013 Moto X was the perfect size phone This thing puts that to shame size-wise and still doesn't feel all that huge, though I got worried when I saw the size of the case before holding the phone.

Thanks for the response! I'm not quite ready to buy so hopefully by the time I do they've worked out the kinks. Getting anxious!
