    Hello,

I have just ported my phone number from a Verizon family plan to an individual Cricket account. My samsung galaxy s3 died and I was without a phone for 1 month, but the number remained active. Having ported over the number, I am sure that I received text messages during that 1 mo time period from people with whom I have no other mode of contact. What happens to text messages in this kind of scenario? Is there any way for me to retrieve them or are they lost in the Twilight Zone?

    Thank you,
    The Curious Luddite

Usually you receive the messages within 10 days after your turn on your number but if haven't received it yet then it clearly means that they are lost. There is no reliable way as per my knowledge to retrieve them.

    Thanks
