According to a recent article (“Java 8 will be introduced to Android by changing to OpenJDK”), Google's move to OpenJDK will make the latest Java versions usable by Android developers. Can someone confirm this? Come March 2017, will we be able to use Java 9's features when we develop apps for Android?
