Why does only a small amount of data gets moved on sd card when I move an app in the sd card?

Welcome to Android Central! That's how it works. Most of the app has to remain on Internal Storage for it to function correctly. The portion of the app that's moved to the SD is usually some data portion. Remember that read/write speeds on the external SD card will be significantly slower than on the eMMC onboard memory, so moving the essential guts of an app to the SD would significantly impact its performance.
