All my pictures have dissappeared from my Moto E 2 from Verizon, what happened to them and why?

The pictures from my Verizon android phone are all blank. It tells me that I have 1263 pictures on my SD card, but they are all blank and this happened overnight.....whats the deal?

Welcome to Android Central! When you say SD, do you mean that they're on a microSD card? If so, the card might be corrupt. Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, and insert it into your computer. Assuming the computer can read the card, backup all of the files to the hard drive now.
