How to reset password on Samsung Galaxie lte

I must have mistyped when I created a password because when prompted to type in the password again nothing would work. So, I'm locked out.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean your lockscreen password? In order to mistype your password, you'd have to mistype it twice when you were creating it, since it asks you to confirm it.

If you fail the unlock enough times, does it prompt you for your Google username and password?

If you have a Samsung Galaxy device then you can also use your Samsung account to lock your mobile phone, then unlock your mobile phone using the Samsung account password.

If you forgot your Samsung password and Google password then you can reset them
