How do you mute without removing Google now weather update card?

I enjoy my Google now weather update card, but hate the fact that it makes a notification sound every time it comes up. I can't figure how to disable that particular notification sound. At night it constantly keeps beeping and its driving me nuts. Any idea how to remove the sound / notification without removing the whole card?

Welcome to Android Central! Open Google Now, swipe in from the left, tap Settings>Now Cards. You can turn off Notifications there, which means you still get the cards, but not the notifications in the notification bar. Or, if these notifications are priority notifications for weather alerts, you could change the Priority Notifications ringtone to silent and turn vibrate off. Or turn off the Weather notification that's meant to tell you about substantial changes in weather conditions.
