Lost contacts and certain data after phone died

AC Question

So i left my phone in my car.. it was cold out ( -10c) It died....Then when i got it back to my house. I plugged it in to charge... It started up in the screen where it optimizes app X of XXX... It has done this before, and it goes through all of my apps.. This time it only went through 7 apps. All of my contacts were gone, saved passwords such as facebook, snapchat, instagram etc. were gone... Then half of my contacts magically appeared...

When i turn off my phone and turn it back on.. The HTC startup gingle doesnt even play.

any ideas what is going on?????

Welcome to Android Central! Phones do not do well in very cold or very hot weather. -10C is 14F, which is the exact temp that the iPhone failed in the study mentioned here: Sub-Zero Weather: Can Your Smartphone Stand The Cold? | PCWorld

Are you saying the phone won't turn on any more? You might have to wait a little while for the hardware to recover from the temperature insult (if it will recover at all).
