my rca rct6773w42b tablet wont charge!!!

[AC Question]

I try to plug in my rca rct6773w42b tablet and it will not charge. i leave it sitting for 5 minutes to charge with 3% on it, 5 minutes later it shows that it has 0% and will not charge properly no matter what i do. What is the problem and how do i fix it?

It could be a faulty USB lead, or a damaged or dirty USB port, among other possibilities.
