No "outside Wi-Fi" for about 3 days now

Galaxy Note 4.... (Nook)

I can access the net using a browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.), but when trying to use the various apps, like Google Play, Various News, Amazon, etc. I can get no connection and it tells me to check my settings........ Any ideas as to what is happening ?? This just started about 3-4 days ago... The Tab has been Great !!!
