I have no space on my device

I have 2 GB storage space and have only 31.8 MB free.. When I open my device folder on my computer it says that all the folders are taking up 261 MB including android apps. My computer is set to show hidden and system files but it seems that there are none.
What is taking up all of the storage space and how can I see/fix it?

It depends on the device. Are you sure it's not the OS that's occupying the storage?
