Am totally lost trying to transfer photos on S5 to Google Drive

A

AC Question

I have looked at some supposed tutorials, but they say to click on the files within Drive that you want to upload, but my photos do not appear there - only Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Sorry, this is probably a very basic question, but it has got me stymied!!

It's really easy, just long tap on the picture or pictures you want and you'll see this:

Now just tap on the share icon that is highlighted and you'll see this:

Then just select Google Drive.

Welcome to Android Central!

Download and install the Google Photos app. Once you open it, it will go through a setup. It will get you set up for auto backup and when you are done setting it up, it will start uploading your photos to your Google account.
