My Galaxy Pro Tab is not charging past 30%. HELP!

Not only that but my charge cable needs something higher than the regular level to make the charge connect. And now my tablet is frozen at 30%. I've tried my phone charger, I still get 30% but no more. I did the reboot of pushing in Volume Up-Home-Power and am waiting to see if it will move the level higher. And I had to put something under the charge to the tablet to see the charge-lightning bolt appear. What's happening to my beloved tablet?

The USB lead may need replacing, or the USB port connector may be dirty or damaged.
