quantum 900 with 8 gb internal memory only able to use 1 gb

this tablet has 8 gb of internal memory but only 1gb is used to download etc the rest is shown as a sd card which means if the apps etc I download cant be transfered to sd card then the 1 gb gets full very quick why is this and how do I correct it?

Welcome to Android Central! You can't really change that. This is the major drawback of devices with a small amount of onboard Internal Storage, especially if that storage is partitioned into an App Storage area and an "Internal SD."
